Password Complexity

The password complexity requirements are flexible within Abriska and can be configured by the organisation administrators. The following options are available for password complexity:

  • Number of Characters
  • Must contain UPPERCASE Characters
  • Must contain lowercase Characters
  • Must contain at least one digit(0-9)
  • Number of days between password changes
  • Must contain at least one special character (i.e.$!@)
  • Number of password attempts before lockout.
  • Passwords can be reused after x many iterations

Abriska also contains a password blacklist of commonly used passwords that must not be used. If any organisation wishes to add a password to the commonly used password list please contact support.

Changing the password complexity will not validate any existing passwords, this is because the passwords are encrypted with a one hash so they can only be validated on input. This safeguards your password whilst it is stored within Abriska.
